There can be two types of solid as well as liquid mixtures.

For example air is a homogeneous mixture.

Alloys that are made from two or more metals when mixed become homogeneous mixture like brass, bronze.

When two solids are mixed, they form heterogeneous.

For example sand and sugar.

Liquid forms heterogeneous mixture, for instance oil and water.
