TILL NOW THROUGH THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE THERE HAS BEEN NO SUCH DISCOVERIES OVER TIME THAT ITS SHORTENING OR GETTING TO LONG BUT I GUESS DUE TO MANY HUMAN INTERVENTIONS VERY SOON WE ARE GONNA LISTEN THAT TIME IS CHANGING ITS SHAPE AND SIZE. AND HUMANS MUST FIND A PLACE SAFE TO LIVE BECAUSE TIME CHANGE OR NOT BUT OUR EARTH IS LEFT ONLY SAFE FOR MORE HUNDRED YEARS THEN IT WILL BE ATTACKED MY METEORITES AND DIFFERENT SPACE GASES.

The idea comes from Sir Albert Einstein's Theory of Relativity.
Here's how to understand the concept:
The great physicist James Clerk Maxwell gave the theory of electromagnetism. In it, he provided mathematical understanding of electromagnetic waves. He proved that the electromagnetic waves (including light) travel at a fixed speed in vacuum, no matter what.
This speed is measured to be
299,792,458 metres per second.
Now, the distance between two objects is a fixed entity. Plus, Maxwell proved that for electromagnetic waves, speed is also fixed.
Now, as speed = distance/time
the only remaining variable is time.
So time must not be absolute. Instead, it should be relative to every observer.
Einstein provided equations which show how time is slowed down.
He said that as speed of an object becomes near to the speed of light, time begins to slow down for that object.
Moreover, time is also affected by presence is Gravitational fields, and also due to Acceleration of bodies.
