Can Turkey revive the Ottoman Empire?

The often-spoken ‘Neo-Ottomanism’ policy is kind of a misnomer, as it evokes the image of the return of that state of old, a monolith that once stretched from Algiers in the West and Tabriz in the East, from Aden in the South to Crimea in the North. It suggests that Erdoğan seeks the return of that old empire, the rise of ‘The Exalted Ottoman State’.
As mind-bogglingly resounding this notion is, it is also false.
Hope it helps
