Can two angles be supplementary if both of them are obtuse? Justify your answer with a reason.

two obtuse angles cannot form a supplementary pair. This also because of the following reasons

  • obtuse angles are greater than 90° and less than 180°
  • supplementary angles are the sum of 180°

Two angles are said to be supplementary if their sum is 180°.

Obtuse angle is greater than 90° and when we will add two obtuse angles their sum will be greater than 180°.Hence if both angles are obtuse they cannot be supplementary.
