Can two equipotential surfaces intersect each other? Give reasons

hii there!!!

On an equipotential surface , the potential difference between any two points is zero. ... Now since the electric field is perpendicular to the equipotential surface ,their intersection means that there are two directions of the electric field at their intersection point which is not possible.

No they cannot intersect each other because two different equipotential surface have different electric potential, so if they intersect then the point of intersection will have two different potentials at the same point which is not possible.
