yes, they can attract each other when one of them is very very large than the other. then, the electrostatic force acting on the two is not due to their initial charges but will be due to the charges produced due to induction and hence attraction takes place. but, it is a rare phenomenon.

if it helps then plzz mark it as brainliest

Yes, this is possible. But as we know that like charged body repels each other whereas unlike charged body attracts attracts each other is not false. There is only one one case when like charged body attract each other. Let us discuss about this.

Two similar point charges can never attract each other however great be the difference of between the charges but two extended charged body may attract with great difference of charges between them may attract each other.

Above we see when the first charge is very very large compared to the 2ndwe find the positive charges are displaced at the opposite end and negative charges are concentrated on the end nearer to the 1st charge.

As –ve charges come nearer due to electrostatic induction there occurs attraction between the charges.

Yes it is possible....When the charge on one body (q 1 ) is much larger than that on the other (q 2 ) and

they are close enough to each other so that force of attraction between q 1 and
induced charge on the other exceeds the force of repulsion between q 1 and q 2 .

Hence there is only one case when like charged body attract each other.

Hope it helps... Gud luck...:)))))))
