HCF(Highest Common Factor) of two or more numbers =  Product of the smallest Power of each common prime factor involved in the numbers.]

LCM of two or more numbers = product of the greatest power of each prime factor involved in the numbers, with highest power.

SOLUTION :

GIVEN : HCF of two numbers  = 16  & LCM of two numbers = 380

On dividing 380 by 16 , we get quotient as 23 and 12 as the remainder.

Here, LCM is not exactly divisible by the HCF.

Hence, two number cannot have 16 as their HCF and 380 as their LCM.

hey mate here is your answer

The HCF of two numbers must be a factor of the LCM . In the above question it is possible if 18 is a factor of 380.But it is not a factor of 380. so it is not possible to have two numbers whose hCF is18 and LCM is 380.

hope this helps you
