Can u explain me lab activity on test for production of heat and co2 under anaerobic conditions

aim-to show that heat and carbondioxide are released during respiration

material-big beaker,small beaker,sprouts,lime water,thermometre

procedure-
first take sprouted seeds and put them in a beaker
then keep a small beaker with lime water into it
leave it closed for few hours
then observe

observation-
we observe that the lime water turn milky and see raise in temperature

conclusion-based on observation we can conclude that carbondioxide and heat is released during respiration
