can u explain summer solstice and winter solstice ​

During the summer solstice, the Sun travels the longest path through the sky and that day therefore has the most sunlight or daylight. The winter solstice is basically the opposite, where the Earth is the farthest away from the sun and thus, that day has the most darkness.
