if not what is the difference between both.

Yes, Atomic mass and mass number are the one and only same thing!!
When we talkin about mass number, we refer yo the mass of that atom, i.e. the mass number!!

not same because in atomic mass the value is in decimal and have unit 'u' but in mass no. we take round of and have no unit. And their formula are different
