no because this quadratic equation does not have any real roots .

by using ,discriminate

 {b}^{2} - 4ac =( - 1) ^{2} - 4(1)(1) \\ = > 1 - 4 = - 3

hence, discriminate value less than 0 so this equation does not have real roots.
