Your answer:

If (x + 2k) is a factor

Then

\tt x + 2k = 0 \\\\ \tt \Rightarrow x = -2k

for x = -2k, the value of equation must be zero.

Now replacing values

\tt  \Rightarrow (-2k)^5 -4k^2(-2k)^3+2(-2k)+2k+3=0 \\\\ \tt \Rightarrow -32k^5 +32k^5  - 4k +2k +3 =0 \\\\ \tt \Rightarrow -2k +3 = 0 \\\\ \tt \Rightarrow 2k= 3 \\\\ \tt \Rightarrow k =\dfrac{3}{2}

So, the value of k=3/2
