Q.  Factorize  6√3 x² - 47 x + 5 √3.

Solution : 6√3 x² - 47 x + 5 √3

            = 6√3 x² - 45 x - 2 x + 5√3

           = 3√3 x ( 2 x - 5√3 ) - 1 ( 2 x - 5√3 )

          = ( 2 x - 5√3 ) ( 3√3 x - 1 ).

♦ Steps to solve a quadratics equation by splitting middle term.

• Middle term should be broken in such a way that its sum should be equal to middle term and its product should be equal to product of first term and last term.

• After that you will get 4 terms, from first 2 term take common and from 3rd and 4th term take common.

•Now you will find terms in such a way : a x ( b x + c )  + m ( b x + c ).

•Now take ( b x + c ) as common .Then you will find like this ( b x + c ) ( a x + m).

Note : The ' x ' is variable in above steps.
