GIVEN :

A , B , C , D and E are 5 consecutive numbers.

• The average of these five numbers is 25.

TO FIND :

Product of C & E = ?

SOLUTION :

▪︎Let the number are –

• A = x

• B = x + 1

• C = x + 2

• D = x + 3

• E = x + 4

▪︎ Now According to the question –

⇒ Average = 25

⇒ [(x) + (x + 1) + (x + 2) + (x + 3) + (x + 4)]/[5] = 25

⇒ (5x + 10)/(5) = 25

⇒ [5(x + 2)]/[5] = 25

⇒ x + 2 = 25

⇒ x = 25 - 2

⇒ x = 23

▪︎ Now product of C & E –

⇒ Product = (x + 2)(x + 4)

⇒ Product = (23 + 2)(23 + 4)

⇒ Product = (25)(27)

Product = 675

▪︎ Hence , Option (A) is correct.
