Sublimation is not possible because a volatile substance can be separate from non volatile substance in the cause of sublimation.

A mixture of salt and sugar cannot be separated by sublimation since none of them are volatile in nature, i.e. doesnt change to vapour form directly from their solid state.
The mixture needs to be dissolved in alcohol, then filtered followed by evaporation of the alcohol in order to separate the sugar and the salt.
