No it cannot be used as antacid

bcoz washing soda has a formula of

Na2Co3.10H20

and for antacid we need alkali solution like Magnesium or sodium hydroxide which can neutralize the excess acid in stomach.where as washing soda is a carbonate with water of crystallization which can have harmful effects on human body.

yes it is used as an anticide . it become basic while used with water bcoz it get attached with oh ions . they carry out neautralization reaction to neautralize excess of hcl in our stomach which relives us.
