Can we add water directly in concentrated acid to make it dilute . Give reason.

Always acid should be added to water drop by drop with continuous stirring.

We do not add water into acid instead of that we add acid into water step by step by a dropper.  

It is because acid is too vigorous  when we put water into acid they give lots of heat and even burst on us. So we put acid into water
