Can we call water as an amphoteric oxide? Give reason for your answer?

I don't think so . Water doesn't react or we can say it is neutral. It doesn't react with Acid as well as base , so We can't call water as an amphoteric oxide.

The water molecule has hydrogen atoms and, therefore, could act as an acid in a reaction. ... Since water has the potential to act both as an acid and as a base, water is amphoteric.
