Can we have democracy without holding election
Answers
Answer:
Firstly, all democracies should hold elections, but all elections need not be democratic. See, the primary idea of Democracy is obviously let people choose something without the influence of others. An election provides that, and therefore all Democracies should hold an election.
If you know the actual meaning of Election, then its just “electing” someone and that doesn’t mean that election has to be in a Democratic Way. Adolf Hitler was chosen by his countrymen, because of his caliber. In the 1930’s Adolf Hitler, inspired millions of German under his regime, and therefore, he can also be considered as ‘elected’, but did he believe in Democracy? No!
So, basically we can have an election without democracy, but that will not be a “Democratic Election”.
