Can we hear sound in space?

No, because transmission of sound requires a medium. Sound is transmitted by the vibration of particles, therefore a medium is required. In space there is only vacuum which contains no particles (actually the absence of particles is usually called as vacuum). Thus, no vibration and no transmission of sound and without the transmission of sound we cannot hear it.

Thus, astronauts communicate in space with the help of radio waves.
