It is not possible to make fossil fuels in a lab.
Fossil fuels are obtained from  the remains of living organisms.

the processes that create fossil fuels are complex, and take plce over extreamely long periods of time. the oil gas we use today began as plants and animals living millions of years ago. this will only accelerate as alternative energy technology is refined, and as scarce fossil fuels are used up.
