You can almost make no friction by replacing the path by polished metal deep on the pole and apply a super lubricant, then make a skate-like things with anything else by which friction reduces or don't increase then take two jetpacks one pushing you upwards and another pushing you towards front or thrust on you, streamedline body, use fluid friction, reduce surface contact by electro magnet, levitation etc. by this thing we can time travel.
Gravity slow down time, and moving around poles can help you to travel between day and night by traveling small distances.
