Iron is more reactive than Copper and hence Sulphate Ion prefers to stay withIron. Now, if we store CuSO4 in an Iron Vessel, it will react with the Iron, which is something we don't want. Hence, youcannot store CuSO4 in an Iron Vessel....

Copper sulphate solution cannot be stored in an iron vessel. This is because iron is more reactive than copper, and so is placed above copper in the reactivity series of metals. Thus, iron will displace copper from its salt and instead form ferrous sulphate. The copper metal will be deposited as a reddish brown residue.
