We should not place silver nitrate solution in an iron vessel. This is because , iron is more reactive than silver. So , it would displace silver from its solution of silver .

Hey friend, Harish here.
Here is your answer:
We cannot place a silver nitrate solution in an iron vessel. This is because iron is more reactive than silver, hence an displacement reaction will take place.
The Reaction is :
Fe(s) + 2AgNO₃ (aq) → Fe(NO₃)₂ (aq) + 2Ag.
