Horegallu is a stone under a tree where travellers keep their burden when they tend to rest under a tree during travelling.
The author’s grandfather was like a Horegallu. He would sit under the tree near the Horegallu and he would listen to all the burdens of the travellers giving them emotional relaxation and by boosting up their energy.
Ratna is a woman who would take time at her workplace to listen to the problems of her colleagues during lunch hours. She believed that having for someone at the least to listen to their problem would give them relief from stress and would make their lives better.
So, we can related Grandfather and Ratna to a Horegallu.
