Partially correct

As sometimes displacement is equal to distance if a particle travels in a straight path. We can say that,

  • Distance It is the length of the original path covered by an object.
  • Displacement Smallest length of the initial and final Position of an object.

More:-

There are many differences between distance and displacement. They are,

  • Distance is greater or equal to Displacement and displacement is equal to or smaller than distance.
  • Displacement can be negative, zero or Positive. Displacement can be zero and positive.
  • Displacement is a vector while Distance is a scalar.
