Yes we can say that all combination reaction are oxidation reaction as generally oxygen is added to the element

Yes its true . Now to understand that first we must what is combustion . It means burning and objects burn only in the presence of oxygen. (carbon dioxide is used to stop fires)

Now what is oxidation reaction. It's a rection when oxygen is added to an element during any reaction for example N2 + O2 ----------> 2 NO2
This is oxidation as oxygen is added to nitrogen

Now when anything burns , it requires oxygen, oxygen is added to that element which it burns with and it makes a compound like NO2

This is true always when something is burnt so all combustion reaction s are oxidation reactions
