* Later he changed to president and in 2002 held referendum in the country that granted him a fiver year extension.

* In the August 2002, He issued a 'Legal Framework Order' that amended the constitution.

* The people elected their representatives, But they cannot take final decision.

* The power to take the Final decision rests with the army officials and general Musharraf.

* This happens only in dictatorship and monarchy

* They formally have an elected parliament and government but the real power are not with the elected people.

* From this we can say that Pakistan was not practicing democracy
