Secondly, the water that is involved in making the electricity has to be brought from its natural surrounding to the new place. That can also be a tedious process.
There will be low feasibility for shifting a thermal power plant and the energy losses may also be there in large amounts if it is shifted. Therefore, it is not desirable to shift a thermal power plant from its established position.
