no lemon has a natural acid and since its been pickled u probabaly added vinegar or something to preserve it longer ....... when lemon pickle is stored in aluminium container the lemon pickle react with aluminium and get spoiled....

When lemon pickle is stored in aluminium utensil/container, the citric acid present in the lemon pickle reacts with aluminium liberating hydrogen gas.Thus leading to the spoilage of pickle. So, one should not store lemon pickle in aluminium container.
