To become officer in armed forces, u can choose any stream like art, science or commerce.
But According to me u should choose science stream, bcoz the maths will help u to crack the nda exam and cds exam both. In nda exam maths is of 300marks. It plays a important role.
With the help of science stream, u can do btech and there is some direct entries like (TGS, UES), u can direct apply for them and no need to give exam, if your percentage will good in btech then they will call u for ssb.
If u choose pcm in 11th and if u clear the iit jee exam after 12th, then u can also eligible to apply in ARMY ENGINEERING COLLEGE if u belong from army background. If u secure more than 85% in pcm, then u are eligible for direct interview for army, and if u do good in iit jee as well then u can also apply for indian navy, after 12th.
So there is more entries for science student compare than a art or commerce one.
