Answer :
For laptop (charging) it is okay to use such type of convertor. Laptop chargers are available in the (power) range of 29 Watts to 95 Watts. So the maximum current supplied (for 95W) by 230 Volt supply (India) will be approximately (95/230=) 0.413 Amps. hence, it is okay to use a socket (5A to 15A) converter in such cases. but it is highly recommended to perform current calculations before using this method for any other application.
