We know that POWER =VOLTAGE×CURRENT×POWER FACTOR assume 230volts,5amps,.8p.f POWER=230×5×.8 =920watts but for a normal house hold POWER will be 1840 watts because voltage will be 230 volts, current will be 10 amps, power factor will be 0.8. According to your question if we connect a induction cooktop for

Answer :

For laptop (charging) it is okay to use such type of convertor. Laptop chargers are available in the (power) range of 29 Watts to 95 Watts. So the maximum current supplied (for 95W) by 230 Volt supply (India) will be approximately (95/230=) 0.413 Amps. hence, it is okay to use a socket (5A to 15A) converter in such cases. but it is highly recommended to perform current calculations before using this method for any other application.
