Can we use atmospheric air directly in pneumatic systems? If no, why? What should be done to make use of it?

Hence hydraulics is better for precision motion transmission. Hydraulics is moving and operating equipment with oil under pressure, pneumatics is air under pressure. Hydraulics relates to fluids and Pneumatics to gas. Any system working on fluids is called hydraulic and gas (air) pneumatics.
