Students appearing for CBSE Board Exam can write answers with a Blue coloured pen. If they want to use a black pen to highlight or bold the points in answers or for writing titles or headlines then it is allowed.

Answer:

Hello. As per the rules of CBSE, it's given that we must use or bring only blue/royal blue ball point/gel/fountain pen for the exam.

This would have been printed on the admit card. Pls check it if you r a board exam appearing student.

To put it in simple words, black pen is usually not allowed in the board. Even I would advise the same because, shifting the pens and writing would consume more time. Well, not much time but sometimes that bit of a time might be so useful for us. Use only Blue pen and if u have time, underline the titles that u need or feel important.
