Can we use carbon to make wires for household usage why or why not explain

It cannot be used as a wire because it has no tensile strength worth crowing about. All metals beat carbon hands down for conducting electricity with Silver Gold and Copper being at the top. Carbon per-se is not a good conductor, it's ressistance increses with it's thickness
