can we use tesla coil for wire less power transmission ? why ? range ?

Thus, the Tesla coil is adopted as an antenna to generates high voltage, high frequency, and low alternating current in sequence to generate high-density flux.

Yup!...u can use it but it is only for a limited area.
My friend Bhaloo had made it n presently he is in district lvp science fest rep. our school on the topic of electromagnet.
•He made a tesela coil and made 200 sprials of d=3-4cm
•he used a 9v battery n made a 9watt cfl glow.
•Using multimeter we get to know that the current produced from 9v a.c. was 19v d.c.
