We know,

→ 0°C = 273.15

Then, 78°C will be :-

→ 78 + 273.15

→ 351.15 Kelvin

b) During melting of ice the temperature of the thermometer doesn't change though it is being supplied with heat. Give a scientific reason.

Answer :

The reason why the ice doesn't changes after applying heat is:- when the heat is applied it is being utilised by the particles to break the attraction of particles in order to change the state. Hence, the temperature is not observed by the thermometer and it doesn't shows the change of temperature.

Answer:

First stop is from (0) to the church $\rm X_2$

Which is of 80 metres

And then, from $\rm X_2$ to the park $\rm X_1$ which is of 60 metres.

Total istance coverd is :-

→ 80 + 60

→ 140 metres

And also,

The final destination is the park and it's shortest distance from the O is 20 metres

Hence, the displacement is 20 metres.
