Mulberry silk, Tasar Silk and Mooga silk are the varieties of silk produced by different silkworms whereas Moth silk is not a variety of silk.
Tussar silk is produced from larvae of several species of silkworms belonging to the moth.
The main concentration has been in the Rayalaseema region of the State, where climatic conditions are favourable for this industry, Andhra Pradesh produces both mulberry and tasar silk.
