Solution of Case 1.

1. Possible outcomes are

{(H,1), (H,2), (H,3), (H 4), (H,5), (H,6), (T,1), (T,2), (T,3), (T,4), (T,5), (T,6)}

Number of possible outcomes = 12

2. Probability of getting a tail and a five = 1/12

3. Probability of getting a number less than 5 and a head = 4/12 = 1/3

Solution of Case 2.

Three coins are tossed

1. Possible outcomes are {HHH, HHT, HTH, THH, HTT, THT, TTH, TTT}

Number of possible outcomes = 8.

2. Probability of getting head = 3/8

3. Probability of getting atleast 2 heads = 4/8 = 1/2.
