a) •Roots of submerged plants are poorly developed.The roots are reduced in size and their main function is to hold the plant in place.
•The leaves are narrow,thin and ribbon-like.
•Stomata are absent.
Eg: Vallisneria,Pondweed,Asian Marshweed,etc.
