LATE AGE OF THE FATHER BE x & SON BE y.

according to the condition.......1

x=3y .........................(1)

according to the condition.......2

x+10=2(y+10)..........(2)

:.x+10=2y+20

:.x=2y+10

:. substitute x=3y

:.3y=2y+10

:.y=10 years

:. put y=10 in equation (1)

:.x=3×10

:.x=30 years

therefore the father age is 30 years and sons age is 10 years.
