the answer is 4. Because if you add 4 to 17420 , it becomes 17424 , which is the square of 132. i.e, 132^2=17424.

I've already explained!! i can't understand why you find this question so tough! 132 is the square root of 17424 so only when you add 4 to 17420 , it becomes a perfect square of some number i.e 132
17420+4=17424 , 132^2=17424(a perfect square)
