Six people are left in the room.

Explanation:

  • Since there are five people in the room when I went in so the total number of people was 6.

  • Five + One is equal to six.

  • So when I kill four out of five people it means I have left with the one person.

  • So now in the room, there is me and the one person I did not kill and four dead bodies that make 6 people.
