The answer to the riddle is - one person will actually remain in the room after 4 people of the 5 are killed by me.

This is because I do not stay in that room.

I come into the room and kill the four people.

Originally, 5 people stay in the room and not six.

This question can have two different answers based on assumptions:

5 people in a room.

You go in.

You kill 4 people.

Solution:

Assumption 1: If there were 5 in the room and you go in. It will become a total of six people now. After killing, if the dead are also assumed to be people, then there are 6 people in the room.

Assumption 2:  If there were 5 in the room and you go in. It will become a total of six people now. If you kill 4 people and the dead people do not account, then, there are 2 people in the room. You and the other living person.
