We cannot construct a triangle with angles 70°, 35° and 85° as the sum of the angles is equal to 190°.

Given:

The angles are 70°, 35° and 85°.

To Find:

Can we construct a triangle with angles 70°, 35° and 85°?

Solution:

→ The sum of all the angles of a triangle is equal to 180°. If the angles of a triangle are A, B and C, then the sum of A, B and C would be equal to 180°.

                                      ∴ A + B + C = 180°

In the given question:

→ The angles of the triangle are 70°, 35° and 85°.

The sum of all the angles of the triangle = 70° + 35° + 85° = 190°

Since the sum of the angles comes out to be equal to 190°, therefore the given angles cannot be the angles of a triangle.

Therefore we cannot construct a triangle with angles 70°, 35° and 85° as the sum of the angles is equal to 190°.

Answer:

no, we cannot construct the triangle by using the above mentioned angles because sum of all the angles should be equal to 180 degree but they are not forming the triangle.
