Let the length be x. Then, breadth is x-3

Area of rectangular park is
x(x - 3) \\

Area of triangular park is
 \frac{1}{2}  \times (x - 3) \times 12 = 6(x - 3) \\

Given,
x(x - 3) = 6(x  - 3)+ 4 \\  {x}^{2}  - 9x  + 14 = 0 \\ (x - 2)(x - 7) = 0 \\ x = 2 \:  \: or \:  \: 7

2 is not possible for x, since x-3 becomes -ve

So, length, x = 7 m
breadth = x-3 = 4 m
