Answer:

circular motion is a movement of an object along the circumference of a circle or rotation along a circular path. It can be uniform, with constant angular rate of rotation and constant speed, or non-uniform with a changing rate of rotation.

Circular Motion Description

When a body moves in a Circular path then the motion is said to be Circular Motion.

There are two types of Circular motion :-

  • Uniform Circular Motion
  • Non - Uniform Circular Motion

Description of Uniform Circular Motion

In this motion , the Speed of any object is constant but the Velocity changes.

The acceleration of a body moving in a circular way of Radius R with velocity V is {\bold{\frac{{V}^{2}}{R}}} directed towards the centre of the Circle.

The Second Law of Motion is also derived from this Phenomenon. F = {\bold{\frac{{mV}^{2} }{R}}} where m is the mass of the body.

Examples of Uniform Circular Motion

  • Fans rotating around a fixed axis.

  • Vehicles on Sharp Curves of roads.

  • Earth rotating around the sun.

  • A stone binded with thread acts in the direction of centripetal force.
