can you explain how the V.R. is the same despite varying M.A. and efficiency for the same machine (preferably with an example) ?

Explanation:

Relation between, M.A., V.R. and Efficiency: Let a machine overcome a load L by applying an effort E. In time t, the displacement of effort is dE and displacement of load is dL. Then

Work Input = Effort × Displacement of effort = E × de

Work Input = Load × Displacement of load = L × dl

Efficiency = Work Output / Work Input

= L × dl / E × de

L / E = M.A / V.R

M.A = V.R × Efficiency
