it is totally like quantom physics the addition of opposite ion attracts and make them neutral so if we take example

Na+ and Cl- are two ions they have positive or negative charge but when they combines they produce NaCl which is an compound ........which have not any charge.....

  • Here saying radical (ions) carries charge in them but through this when they compound forms they do not have charge and these compounds are generally electrically neutral means their charge is negligible.So as the compounds are having negligible charge.
  • So we needed to present positive and negative radical in a compoun in order to cancel the opposite charge (here opposite charge means one should be Positive and other Negative
