Can you explain why heat transfer cannot take place by the process of convection in solid substance?​

Answer:

This is because the particles in liquids and gases move faster when they are heated than they do when they are cold. Convection cannot happen in a solid because, like the stone , the atoms in a solid cannot move far from where they are situated
